Hello !

I'm Julie, a 37-year-old mother of two, and I'm thrilled to share my passion for drawing with you and your children here in Thairé, Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

For as long as I can remember, a pencil has been an extension of my hand. My mother often jokes that she'd find pencils and markers in my bedsheets in the morning – a testament to my secret nighttime drawing sessions under the moonlight!

My education

My journey into the world of art is built on a robust foundation of formal education and professional experience. After high school, I embarked on an intensive program at the Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués et Textile in Roubaix, Northern France. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Technology in Applied Arts (Baccalauréat STI Arts Appliqués), achieving a "Très Bien" (Very Good) distinction and graduating as Valedictorian.

I then continued my studies at the same institution, earning my Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS) in Product Design with "Mention Bien" (Good) honors. My academic journey culminated in a Master's Degree in Design Engineering and Management from the Institut Supérieur de Design de Valenciennes, where I once again graduated with "Très Bien" (Very Good) honors, as Valedictorian, and received a special commendation from the jury.

My artistic skills

These years of dedicated study provided me with a comprehensive and extensive education across a multitude of artistic skills and techniques. I was trained in everything from realistic drawing of human figures and objects to urban perspective. My expertise spans a wide range of traditional and modern graphic representation techniques, including pencil, charcoal, sanguine, pastel (dry and oil), ink, watercolor, gouache, model making, photography, graphic design, and 3D rendering. These techniques have been an integral part of my personal and professional life for over 20 years.

Share, Initiate & Grow

Beyond my artistic practice, my natural inclination for teaching and mentorship led me to lead and develop a team of professionals for over five years as the Design Director for a renowned sports product brand. This experience further honed my ability to guide and inspire creative talent.

Today, I've chosen to dedicate myself fully to my passion for illustration and, most importantly, to sharing it. My heart's desire is not only to impart my graphic and technical skills but, above all, to transmit the sheer joy and well-being that drawing can bring. This activity offers immense psychological benefits, fostering personal growth and boosting self-esteem.

My unique approach to teaching combines my deep artistic expertise with a knack for creating engaging and effective learning experiences. I pride myself on developing original, fun, and educational materials and exercises that make learning entertaining and perfectly paced for every student, ensuring they grasp new concepts while enjoying every step of their creative journey.
